My Story
My name is Ken Poretsky. I’m 58 years old, have been married for 30 years, and have two grown children. I grew up in Buffalo, New York — Go Bills! — and I’ve lived in Washington, Illinois, for the past 20 years.
I've had a pretty varied working life. I've owned a restaurant, worked as a casino dealer, and driven a truck. So I certainly don't have the background you'd expect from someone who would eventually develop a cold sore product.
I'm not a scientist, dermatologist or pharmaceutical executive. I'm just someone who's always been curious, likes experimenting and, as it turns out, stumbled onto something completely unexpected.
Like you, I have suffered from frequent cold sores for most of my life.
I'd like to blame it all on Becky and that huge kiss at the freshman dance.
Thanks, Becky.
(I'm kidding, Becky.)
Cold sores suck.
They hurt. They look terrible. They take a long time to heal. And, whether we like to admit it or not, there's a stigma attached to them.
For years, I used the same cold sore treatment that millions of other people use. It helped, but in my experience, it had its limitations.
Timing was everything. If I caught a cold sore at the very first sign and treated it right away, I usually had a better experience. But if I didn't catch it early enough, I felt like I was out of luck.
And there was an even bigger frustration for me: nothing I was using seemed to change how often my cold sores came back.
You finally get one healed, start feeling like yourself again, and then sooner or later, there it is again.
Then, completely by accident, something happened that changed everything.
LipCur Started by Accident
I never set out to develop a cold sore product.
I was experimenting with a combination of botanical ingredients for an entirely different purpose when I felt something every lifelong cold sore sufferer recognizes immediately — that familiar feeling that tells you a cold sore is coming.
On a whim, I decided to apply some of what I had been working on to the area.
The next day, I couldn't believe what I saw.
The cold sore hadn't developed the way I expected it to.
That got my attention.
So the next time I felt a cold sore developing, I tried it again. And then again.
I began experimenting with the formulation and eventually incorporated it into a lip balm so it would be convenient and easy to use.
What interested me most wasn't simply what I was seeing when I had an active cold sore. As I continued using the lip balm regularly, I noticed something else:
I wasn't getting cold sores as often.
For someone who had dealt with them for most of his life, that was a big deal.
That Experiment Eventually Became LipCur
I spent the last 18 months experimenting, refining the formulation and figuring out how to turn what I had discovered into an actual product.
Today, that formulation is the basis of LipCur, and I've filed a patent application covering the formula behind it.
I Know It Sounds Too Good to Be True
I know some of my claims about LipCur may seem outlandish — maybe even too good to be true.
I understand the skepticism.
If I were visiting this website for the first time, I'd probably be skeptical too.
But I make these claims based on my own experience using LipCur. And after giving away more than 100 samples, I began hearing from other people who were experiencing similar results.
All of the reviews you see on this website are real.
I still remember receiving my very first review, from Carrie Clark.
I had reached out to Carrie on Facebook and offered her a free sample of LipCur in exchange for an honest review. I didn't tell her what to say. I didn't ask her to write a positive review. I wanted to know what she actually thought.
When I read what she wrote, I couldn't believe it.
Those were Carrie's words.
Until then, I knew what LipCur was doing for me. But there was still a question in the back of my mind:
Is it just me?
Carrie's review was the first time someone else told me they were seeing the kind of results I had been seeing myself.
That's when I thought:
Maybe I really have something here.
As more people tried LipCur, I began hearing similar stories.
That doesn't mean I'm asking you to believe that everyone will have the same experience. I'm simply telling you what I've experienced and what people who have tried LipCur have told me.
That's also why I encourage you to read our reviews for yourself.
We don't want only glowing reviews. We welcome them all — the good, the bad and the ugly.
Then you can make up your own mind.
I'm Putting My Name Behind LipCur
LipCur isn't the product of a giant pharmaceutical company or some marketing department looking for the next thing to sell.
And I'm certainly not someone who spent his career developing pharmaceuticals.
I've owned a restaurant. I've dealt cards in a casino. I've driven a truck.
And now I'm the founder of a company with a patent-pending cold sore formula.
I didn't exactly see that coming.
Life can take some strange turns.
But maybe my background is part of the reason I approached this differently. I wasn't trying to develop the next big product. I didn't have investors telling me what to create or a marketing department deciding what consumers wanted.
I was simply experimenting with something else, tried it on my own cold sore, and saw something that made me want to keep experimenting.
LipCur came from one guy who was tired of dealing with cold sores himself.
And I'm putting my name behind it.
I'm telling you who I am.
I'm telling you where I'm from.
I'm telling you how LipCur was discovered.
I'm even telling you exactly how I got my very first review.
I'm doing that because I want you to know there's a real person behind this product.
I know what it's like to wake up, look in the mirror and see a cold sore developing.
I know what it's like to wonder whether everyone you're talking to is staring at your lip.
And I know how frustrating it is when another outbreak appears just when you thought you were finally done with the last one.
That's the reason LipCur exists.
Don't Take My Word for It
At the end of the day, I can tell you my story. I can tell you about my experience. And I can show you what other people have said about LipCur.
But there's really only one way for you to know what you think of it.
Try it yourself.
That's why I give you 120 days to try LipCur.
If you're not satisfied with LipCur for any reason, I'll refund your full purchase price.
It doesn't work for you?
I'll refund your money.
It causes irritation?
I'll refund your money.
You don't like the color?
I'll refund your money.
Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter.
I don't want you stuck with a product you aren't happy with.
You took a chance on my product. I'm willing to take the risk.
No questions asked.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
And whether you decide to try LipCur or not, thank you for visiting and giving me the opportunity to tell you how all of this started.
If you do decide to give LipCur a try, I sincerely hope your experience is as positive as mine has been.
Ken Poretsky
Founder, LipCur
